Occupational Accident Plans

OOIDA sponsors three Occupational Accident plan limits for owner-operators or drivers who are not required by law to carry statutory workers’ compensation. These plans offer coverage for accidental medical and dental expenses, disability income, accidental death and dismemberment. They also offer benefits for travel assistance and identity theft resolution services. In addition, these plans offer limited medical, dental and accidental death and dismemberment benefits for non-occupational accidents.

Total disability benefits for up to 52 weeks per occurrence, should illness or injury prevent you from working. This plan gives you 24-hour coverage, so you are protected both on and off the job. Unlike other disability plans which calculate benefits as a percentage of your earnings, the OOIDA sponsored Voluntary Group Short Term Disability Plan pays you a flat weekly benefit.
